some crochet animals

love to crochet, but my rheumatoid arthritis is playing up lately, so can only do small pieces, but toys always go down well

love this little bunny girl, my 6 year old grand daughter had to have a tooth extracted the other day and her mum said she was so brave, so I gave this to her.

I think this unicorn is so sweet

and the yo  yo bunnies are a favourite

and I have never done a flamingo before, but he has turned out well

I can now post the children's cards for March, so here goes.....
be prepared there are quite a few, the boys have outdone the girls again, still it makes me do male cards which I do struggle with.

same die set - different card

this one is just to prove the same die set can produce an elegant "posh" card [as in  the swan one below], and a completely different type of card - a girl's birthday card, quirky and cute.

I don't think Jessica will be looking - she is one of the special needs children I make cards for, and this is from the May lot, I had just started to make these when I still had the lovely die out, so used it for this one. It will probably appear sometime in June when I publish them [after the children have receieved them].

another card for Scarlett

this is another card for my grand daughter, Scarlett, who will soon be 5.

I used a decoupage sheet from docrafts, which is really little girly, so very appropriate

I matted and layered onto a peach card blank with a patchwork paper, matted the image onto gold mirri card, set at a jauny angle, then a peach bow under the topper, some lace with punched flowers under that, a few flowers in the opposite corner, and buttons in the other corners

and this is the inside, in co-ordinating paper, and an "S" made from apples.

a card for my grand daughter

this is for my grand daughter who will be 5 in march, her favourite colour is yellow, hence the base card

the little meow papers were just right for this, so decoupaged it , then again so when she opens it, it is on both sides, then added another image inside
used a bit of the pink fabric tape and a bow from the docrafts rose collection, and little meow backing papers, and a notelet to write on inside

a couple more cards

the first card is an image stamped and decoupaged, then cut out with a circle die,
which was mounted onto 3 scalloped circles in differing shades of blue,
which were then mounted onto 3 large blue scalloped circles that form a rocker card.
I made some flowers and leaves and put them on, and die cut 'happy birthday'
as the sentiment, then added 3 gems

the 2nd card is a SWALK topper mounted on pink mirri card. A blank white card was punched down the right side with a doily punch, and a strip of white card was double punched, then tiny pink gems added.
this was placed underneath the image on top of pink paper punched at the right again.
I made some flowers and leaves, added them and some buttons and a pink
and white striped bow

a couple more "Summer" cards

hello again, this week I have been making 2 more cards for my grand daughter,
Summer, who will soon be 3.
I find it great that I can make so many cards for one child because I have 4 daughters, and I also make the cards my mum sends, so I can do all sorts of things.

this is the front of the card

and this is the back

a close up. I used the Kanban animal stamps, the Tim Holtz arches, held together with ribbon,

then the grass was cut using a Docrafts border, and bunting was made using Sizzix bunting die and stamp set

the above card is made using Crafters Companion cd and some card from a sweet treats paper and card pack,, it is a good pack for chlidren as it is so bright and cheerful

and this is the last one, from the Crafters Companion Bebunni cd, was pleased with it when I finished, but then looked at the others and thought "Whoops, not quite as complicated as the others", so 1 daughter will think she got the one nobody wanted, so scroll down and see what I made to go with the card

a placemat with her name on it, I just printed it off the cd, added the letters and laminated.
Hope this makes up for the card - what do you think?

birthday cards

this week I have been doing some family birthday cards,
the first is for my eldest daughter, who is into pinks and purples

this one is for my grand daughter who will be 3

you can see from these next 2 what her name is

This is the box for another card for Summer

this is where you sign the card

and this is the card, as you can see I went for bright colours, as most children love these

a bit hard to see, but I cut happy birthday from the britannia dies in pale pink mirri card

and then cut the same card for  her name, I bought the alphabet dies and am so pleased with them
I have been thinking about these dies for ages, as you know I make all the birthday cards
for my grandson's special school, so they will really get some use

for grand children

I made a cat doorstop for my daughter, but my 3 year old grand daughter fell in love with it, so I have made this for her 4th birthday on monday

I forgot when I cut it out, I just folded the material and cut both sides together....ooops - the cats are upside down on the back, but I don't think Alice will notice

when I babysit for her, we always have to play a game that she calls "dog in the forest", so this is as near as I could get to one for a card

so I had to do her brother a similar card - they share a party this weekend

and this last one is just me playing with the new dies I got

"dress" cards

some"dress" cards from templates

I liked the pretty blue paper, added some bling,
then had to think of a contrast colour for the rest.......
so bingo, I went for the orange for a complete change

and for the finishing touch
inside are a pair of matching tattered lace shoes

this one is done in aqua and black, looks effective I think.

this is a little girls cupcake dress, with lacy finishing
