I have been looking for ages for some of these perpetual calendars, 'cos my daughters all like them, so having found some this is for my youngest 's birthday

have never done the old decopatch thing, so had a try with this

I thought the papers were good for the kitchen diner Kate has, as there are cockerills, chickens, ducks, lambs and spring flowers , am pleased with the result.

a few birdhouses

found these little houses in a sale 4 for £1 so had to get some and play.

pretty in pink

change of colour scheme

thought these papers were nice

these were from a paper pad I had given

also used some butterflies I have had ages, 'cos didn't really like the colours - look ok here though

a couple more "Summer" cards

hello again, this week I have been making 2 more cards for my grand daughter,
Summer, who will soon be 3.
I find it great that I can make so many cards for one child because I have 4 daughters, and I also make the cards my mum sends, so I can do all sorts of things.

this is the front of the card

and this is the back

a close up. I used the Kanban animal stamps, the Tim Holtz arches, held together with ribbon,

then the grass was cut using a Docrafts border, and bunting was made using Sizzix bunting die and stamp set

the above card is made using Crafters Companion cd and some card from a sweet treats paper and card pack,, it is a good pack for chlidren as it is so bright and cheerful

and this is the last one, from the Crafters Companion Bebunni cd, was pleased with it when I finished, but then looked at the others and thought "Whoops, not quite as complicated as the others", so 1 daughter will think she got the one nobody wanted, so scroll down and see what I made to go with the card

a placemat with her name on it, I just printed it off the cd, added the letters and laminated.
Hope this makes up for the card - what do you think?

Oak House studio one stamp project

this weekend is the "one stamp" 24 hour marathon stamping weekend.
there are 24 hours to make as many different project using only 1 stamp [well 3 this time], and it is their "walesby heart" which comes in large, medium and small
these are beautiful stamps, so I have been having a play, as I am busy at the weekend, I started early

so here we are, my first project is a plain pale blue scarf, a cheapy I came across, so I stamped the heart onto it with midnight blue colour chemistry inkpad.
I am really pleased with the result, it has made a cheap scarf look classy

and here is a bit of a close up, it is really difficult to show how nice it looks

next I made a dangly thingy, don't know what to call it
the hearts were stamped with powder blue colour chemistry inkpad, onto white card that had been cut out using the sizzix nesting hearts.
I did 3 of the large and the medium size, and 6 of the small size, then edged in red and stuck back to back to make a dimensional heart ,with some bakers twine in the middle.
I threaded teal coloured wooden beads inbetween the hearts, the large set, then small set then medium and another small set at the bottom

a bit of a close up

shows off the woodgrain effect in my door really well !!!!!

for my next project I made a heart shaped gift box using the crafters companion ultimate pro board,
I stamped the large heart all the way around the side of the box with amethyst colour chemistry ink pad, on the box lid I used the doily edge punch from tonic, and put purple ribbon around the lid lip, and tied a bow.

for the flower, I stamped 3 hearts in a triangle shape twice for each size heart with the amethyst ink pad, then curled and shaped the petals, then layered it all up, and glued a gem as the centre, then glued it centrally on the top of the box. The little purple twisted shapes are made from some memory cord I had forgotton I had until I had a bit of a tidy up, so I thought they would finish my flower off nicely.
