for grand children

I made a cat doorstop for my daughter, but my 3 year old grand daughter fell in love with it, so I have made this for her 4th birthday on monday

I forgot when I cut it out, I just folded the material and cut both sides together....ooops - the cats are upside down on the back, but I don't think Alice will notice

when I babysit for her, we always have to play a game that she calls "dog in the forest", so this is as near as I could get to one for a card

so I had to do her brother a similar card - they share a party this weekend

and this last one is just me playing with the new dies I got

name books

these 2 name books were ordered at the school fayre I did in spring, can put them on here now, because the relevant birthdays have now passed.

it was for 17 year old twins - Grace and Elliott

this is the box it was in

and the front of the card

I stamped a lot of different shaped tags with various messages and attatched to the front

then punched and die cut flowers to embellish with

the order said "pink and shoes and bags"

so that is what they got

and the verse was the one I used on the sample [my daughter's card], the lady loved it and wanted the same one

I must admit, it is a nice verse

below is the one I did for her brother, who wanted red and blue and football

this is the box

it was only after I had finished the card that I found out Elliott had 2 "T"s so had to make another,
but I now have a sample of a male name card for my stall ['cos I only have 4 daughters]

I did the same with the tickets

then added football stickers

and a few stamped images

and the verse is the same

so both twins can be alike, but different

a trifold garden card

a trifold card made using a Debbie Moore cd

the front is a pretty birdbath

then a butterfly

and finally a nice verse

"dress" cards

some"dress" cards from templates

I liked the pretty blue paper, added some bling,
then had to think of a contrast colour for the rest.......
so bingo, I went for the orange for a complete change

and for the finishing touch
inside are a pair of matching tattered lace shoes

this one is done in aqua and black, looks effective I think.

this is a little girls cupcake dress, with lacy finishing

triangular card

this is a triangular card from a template I had forgotton I had

the front shape is one of the spellbinders rectangles, and tattered lace dragonfly [one of my fave dies]

this is the blank panel - left so I can put whatever sentiment is wanted

and on the other side I put the spellbinders bonsai tree.

a couple of cards using indigoblu stamps

the card below is an indigoblu stamp done in sepia, then matted onto dark brown and then kraft card,
and edged in Sheffield steel gilding flakes, the father's day is a docrafts sentiments, and the happy is stamped with small alphabet blocks.
The background is the same stamp as the main image, but only using part of it.
I am entering this into
challenge 16 monochromatic @

this one is done in various shades of blue, the indigoblu penny farthing, was stamped and gilded with Lancashire roses flakes, as was the docrafts sentiment.
These were then die cut and inked around the edges in blue, and the main image matted onto blue card,
then blue bakers twine was knotted around the sentime

my mother's birthday card

this is the card I made for my mum for her birthday, I love diecutting and punching flowers,
so I made her a garden

this is the box I made to put it in

this is the front of the card

and this is the inside, really pleased with this one, and she loved it

fancy acetate card

I was having a bit of a tidy up in my craft room - ha ha!!! - trouble is I find things I had forgotton I had, and get distracted, which is how come I made this card
I came across some pretty acetate, so just had to make an acetate card, popped some toppers on [I found those too], so really being a good girl and using up some stash

the toppers are quite pretty
and the inside is the same size as the card, my scanner was playing silly, and this is all I could get out of it

Tonic header die

this is a card I made using one of the tonic header dies, I fancied red and
white, am quite pleased with the result

this is the front of the card

and this is the back of it

just some more father's day cards for my grandchildren to give to daddy

these top 2 were made from a reduced paper pad I bought in the Range,
I thought that they would make great cards in a hurry, because only had to make a sentiment
1 for a boy to give and the other for his sister

these 2 have been stamped and coloured with spectrum noir pens

obviously 1 for a boy and 1 for a girl again

a little bird house

I bought some paper mache bird houses ages ago, and have finally got round to decorating one of them.
I firstly painted it with acrylic paints, pink at the bottom, and a lovely purple shimmery one for the roof.
Then I stamped the small indigoblu music, and gilded with lancashire rose flakes.
I am really quite pleased with the outcome, looks pretty.

a couple of box cards

Below are a couple of box cards that I made from some of the lovely papers I have been hoarding

this was it closed up

and the now it is opened out,

and the last is a close up.

Below is a different one, done in browns and blues

and a close up - the dragonfly is a tattered lace die cut.
