a couple of pretty cards

these 2 cards are made from the docrafts range
this first one is made  using the rose collection of papers, and one of the notelets.,I cut round the edge of one of the 6 x 6 papers for my background, put a lace trim across the bottom section.
Then I matted my stamped sentiment [from  fiskars]  onto pink mirri card diecut to a scalloped oval.
I punched the flowers from different rose papers, added a few punched leaves and added a bow to finish off.

below is the inside of the card
a piece of the 6 x 6 paper and a notelet for a sentiment to be added as required

This card is made with a piece of pink mirri card cut to fit the front of a 6 x 6 card, then a piece of the rose paper was cut to size to layer on top, then the corners were diecut.
I added a doily to the centre of the card , then placed a notelet on top, added the diecut sentiment [Britannia dies] and some more pink flowers , a couple of leaves, and finished off with a bow.

and here is the insert,
a piece of paper cut to size, then a notelet cut to fit, and the sentiment stamped in pink.

commissioned 18th birthday

this is a card that I made for an 18th birthday, and all the interests are "wellies and cupcakes",
so had to have a big think about that one, but here is what I came up with, and she liked it!

March's cards for special needs school

I can now post the children's cards for March, so here goes.....
be prepared there are quite a few, the boys have outdone the girls again, still it makes me do male cards which I do struggle with.

same die set - different card

this one is just to prove the same die set can produce an elegant "posh" card [as in  the swan one below], and a completely different type of card - a girl's birthday card, quirky and cute.

I don't think Jessica will be looking - she is one of the special needs children I make cards for, and this is from the May lot, I had just started to make these when I still had the lovely die out, so used it for this one. It will probably appear sometime in June when I publish them [after the children have receieved them].

having a play

I was just having a play about, and found the swan die, so had to make a birthday card for my eldest, who is into purple,

the dies are Tattered Lace, except the flower which is Britannia lily one,
the papers and ribbons are Docrafts lavender collection,
and the card for the swan and flowers is centura pearl
I love the little swirls that come out of the swan, they look great as a bit of foliage.

Easter

thought I would have some decks up for Easter, my "tree" is the twisted hazel that had my Christmas
baubles on, and the bunnies and chicks match the bunting.

happy birthday

this card is made using a Sue Wilson die set and some of docrafts card,
which is from the pack co-ordinating with the "eau de nil" papers

I am afraid my scanner doesn't do that good a job when things have a bit of depth, will try my camera later and see if I can get a better picture. Thanks.
