mother's day cards

here are some mother's day cards I made with the beautiful floral papers from Docrafts

this one is a stretch card, they always look pretty, and I thought the yellow base card went well with the colours of the papers.I fussy cut the flowers from the papers and decoupaged them, then added a touch of glitter and a sentiment tag.

above is another but with a lace bow, and I added a doily to the left bottom corner, and die-cut a flower from matching paper and layered and placed in the centre. I put a notelet from this set and backed with navy card, then cut out and put peel off letters for the sentiment, and added 2 tattered lace butterflies.

above is the insert for the card

this one has the flowers fussy cut again, but I used mainly red and yellow papers for the background.  then mounted 2 panels from different papers, with a piece of paper vertical with navy lace on in between the 2 panels and added the bouquet on the top. 2 sentiment tags from this set was added along with 3 buttons and a bow. The ribbons to go with this set are beautiful, and make lovely bows.

this is the insert. I am all for "jaunty " angles in cards, it saves having to be too precise.

this card is 3 squares of navy card topped with different papers and placed diamond ways on the front of a navy card with floral backing paper on. The roses are fussy cut, decoupaged and glittered, then placed on the central diamond. Some tags from the set were added peeping out from under the diamonds, then 3 buttons and a lemon bow in opposite corners finish it off.

and above is the inside of the card, one of the notelets was used to put the sentiment on.I do find these packs of notelets make lovely inserts for cards.
